It's been so long since I had updated this site, I actually forgot how to log in! So where have I been all of this time? We took a nice trip to New Orleans with my family for my cousin's wedding. I think I gained at least 10 pounds that week. Everything we ate was fried with a side of fried and some fried for dessert but boy was it sure delicious! It was also fun to show my husband where I grew up. He'd never been to New Orleans before, so we tried to fit a lot into our trip. We walked through the French Quarter, went on a safari ride at Global Wildlife, attended the Po-Boy Festival and visited the Audubon Zoo. We even drove through my old neighborhood and past my elementary school. ( At least where my school had once been, it's a big empty field now with piles of dirt where the buildings had been bulldozed :( )
We flew home on Thanksgiving. We celebrated with Rich's family on Black Friday after some early morning shopping where I scored a new desktop computer to edit with. On Sunday, we had our turkey dinner with my family. I had some photo sessions throughout December and then it was suddenly Christmas. We went light on the shopping this year and mostly just bought for kiddos which was really fun. Harper was definitely more into presents this year and understood how to open them. She'd wait with bated breath as we got the plastic off of her new toy and then just want to play. On Christmas Eve, we let her open presents randomly throughout the day and when she'd get bored we'd open another. That worked out great and she really enjoy playing with things as she opened them. We tried to start some of our own traditions this year including a movie camp-out in the living room on Christmas Eve and French Toast breakfast on Christmas morning. Outside of home, we celebrate Christmas 4 different times this year with different groups of family. After all of the running around, we are thinking about hosting Christmas here next year.
Harper and I have been having a lot of tea parties in the past couple of weeks and trying to figure out storage for all of the new toys. I've also been working to get business booming in 2012. I'm working again on packaging and paper goods as well as sourcing out some new product offerings. I have quite a few sessions too share over the next couple of weeks too!
I also realize that I owe you a winner from the Clickin Mom's contest. (A word to other bloggers, don't have a contest end the day before you leave town!) The winner is:
