One thing you'll notice in my blog posts is how in awe I am of seniors these days. The number of accomplishments under their belts and the scope of their interests and impact on the Northern Colorado community just blow me away! I have loved watching Matty grow and influence the world around her over the last several months. Since we met in the spring, Matty has started a successful blog, created an awesome program for middle school girls in Loveland and implemented it, committed to St. Louis University and been named High School Hero CHSAA. And that's just the start of it! For her senior session, we started with professional makeup by Keegan Steele of Steele the Spotlight and then headed into downtown Loveland. Of course there was torrential downpour as we were about to start but Colorado weather is ever changing and the sun came out for us pretty quickly! We even managed to grab a few shots by Matty's dad's office where she worked over the summer. Next we headed to one of my favorite little secluded spots in Loveland and captured her as the sun set over the ponds. One of my favorite images was just as the sun was starting to sink low in the sky and lighting up the treeline with a pretty haze. I also just love her bubbly personality coming through in her images. While I love to shoot a few serious looks each session, we kept it to a minimum with Matty because that's just not her! One of the best things about having a custom senior portrait experience is really showing who you are. At the end of Matty's session she pulled out all of her awards and letter jacket so we could incorporate her swimming accomplishments into her session. Even though it was nearly dark by the time those images were taken, they were some of my favorites!

Do you have hobbies or accomplishments you'd like seen expressed in your senior pictures?  Leave me a comment below and let me know what they are! I love coming up with new ways to show offmy senior clients!
